And this issue one that people should be indeed very careful about what they say, to avoid causing problems for the site.
If Mr Hare is being incautious or unprofessional that is his problem, but as i see it in my humble opinion he has now set more questions to be asked of the BBC by asking for a postal address. Is this information to be treated with confidence quite apart from on who's authority does he request these details?
To mind (And Mr Hare i have never lost a case yet)! he has now taken this out of the remit of the BBC production office, and i would urge anyone who has a genuine concern about the content of the programme and Mr Hares conduct before and since with issues surrounding it to contact the BBC Trust itself directly. You are perfectly entitled to do so.
In defence of Mr Hare and i do not mean to demean him in anyway, he is only a 'local' journalist and from what i have seen on line not what i would describe as very experienced and perhaps he should be cut some slack this early in his career. After all he did not produce this mini documentry completely off his own back, there is a team behind it and he must have been given some advice. If he is however snowed in and sat in the shed and feeling hurt at criticism he may have flown off on one and perhaps the issue can be resolved calmly.
Maybe Mr Hare should take a step back and realise that there are indeed more than 19 people out there he seems to feel the need to demean and they are not all as stupid and 'nutty' as he may wish to think. Perhaps he should enter into a genuine dialogue and see what drives so many people to focus on this issue. Perhaps we will see an article from him on the running of the find Madeleine fund, the other 'discredited' detectives, the restrictions and stage managing of 'interviews' with other people, maybe a report into why if the McCann's book if ready it is delayed until the next anniversary rather than rushed into the shops to aid the search with immeadiate effect. Maybe an interview with Mr Amaral himself to explain himself and why he is so discredited?
Mr Hare if you are reading this, don't take offence and hurt so easy. Myself as a curious and open minded observer who sees a lot of unanswered questions, and simply the bullyboy tactics of the playground heaped upon the detractors rather than answers, this could be the making of you!.....or rubbing Lorraine Kelly's feet at the end of a long day.
