There has been an accident
Three people have been killed (possibly one or two more, but not many more, and possibly not even three, depends whether you listen to BBC or Sky !)
The injured are safe in the hands of doctors in well equipped hospitals very close to the scene.
This is NOT a typhoon killing thousands and leaving millions homeless and without food water or shelter . . .This is NOT a Tsunami killing a third of a million . . .
But this afternoon
There will be a minute's silence at every football match in Scotland ! ! !
Last year over 2,000 people were killed or seriously injured on the roads in Scotland. Nearly 6 per day.
Football carried on as usual.
What is happening to the country ? We have just seen bags of SOIL brought over from the battlefields of WW I, to make a commemorative garden.
At what cost, and for what purpose ?
And whilst I on this rant, what profiteth a man that he posts a comment that "My thoughts are with . . .?"
What does it mean ?
What does it DO ?
And please don't talk about prayer. An omnipotent being could easily have allowed the thing to land safely.
And now we have politicians talking about "unimaginable horror". One small helicopter on a roof ? One dead, a few seriously injured, the rest walking wounded with good stories to tell their children. UNIMAGINABLE HORROR ?
And that was from a man whose family narrowly missed being sent to Auschwitz

I suspect they were the original three the news media talked about.
There is certainly one other who was in the pub at the time. His son is outside.
I don't remember people talking about "unimaginable horror" when the plane landed on the Motorway at Kegworth. I spent a week or so on the periphery and everyone just got on with their jobs.
47 dead and 74 seriously injured, and a big smashed up plane.
It was just a big accident. Nothing "unimaginable" about it. All too "imaginable" actually.
What words are these politicians going to use when the next one comes down and there is a vast explosion and 100 people are blown into small pieces.

And what about the third of a million killed by the Tsunami ? Or a massacre of half a million Rwandans, or thousands of Bosnians
I think at that point even politicians stop bleating and concentrate on the trade figures.
And why don't people's "Hearts go out" to everyone else who die every day. Why are only some deaths and injuries deemed special enough to collect "hearts"

If its so unimportant then why has he written about it. But then then one of these men wrote a comedy sketch making fun of April Jones and the other one has rewritten Christmas songs to mock Madeleine McCann (whilst using Christianity to be vile about homosexuals). Anyone else think Jesus might not have been the type to make fun of missing children?
